Rehabilitation of summer schools and schools in the eastern and western countryside of Deir Ezzor

The role of schools is not only restricted to education in Deir Ezzor, but also extends to other tasks such as the activities of the qualification courses that take place for teaching staffs. But these schools need rehabilitation to be able to fulfill this mission.

One of the projects that are concerned with this task is the project that has been implemented between 01.07.2019 and 11.11.2019.

The activities:

Rehabilitation of 6 schools to be training centers in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor (Al-Hasiya, Al-Shhail, Al-Hawaij Rifiya, Banat Thieban, Al-Tayana Wasat, Darnaj Al-Um, Al-Jurthi High School).

Rehabilitation activities included maintenance of doors, windows, and toilets, as well as providing water tanks, maintenance of electricity, supplying of a generator, providing fans and a water cooler, providing whiteboard panels, and painting activities.

Furthermore, ten schools have been rehabilitated (Al-Hassan Al-Saleh, Abriha, Thieban, Al-Farhoud, Darnaj Janubi, Hawi Al-Jardhi Al-Sharqi, Buhaemid Shamal, Bu-shams Asas, Al-Sila, Shalala, Milaj Al-Muhdatha) Rehabilitation activities included maintenance of doors, windows, and toilets, as well as providing water tanks, maintenance of electricity, providing whiteboard panels, and painting activities.

Yassin Al-Badawy, program coordinator, talked about this project, saying:

“The number of beneficiaries of the project has reached 8,638 people, most of them are pupils under the age of 18. The project has been completed in a short time so that training courses in these schools could be completed on time.”
